Challenge the Problem. Create the Future.

Designed to inspire action, the YITCH Challenge invites youths to move beyond theory into real-world problem solving. By combining competition, collaboration, and guided learning, the program enables participants to research challenges, design technology-based solutions, and showcase ideas that have the potential to create lasting impact.

What Is the YITCH Challenge?

The YITCH Challenge is a structured innovation and problem-solving program designed to empower youths to apply technology to real-world challenges. It goes beyond idea pitching by guiding participants through research, solution design, development, and presentation. The challenge creates a safe but competitive environment where young people learn by doing, collaborate across disciplines, and build solutions with real social, economic, and technological relevance.

Who Can Participate?

The YITCH Challenge is open to youths and young adults with an interest in technology, innovation, and problem solving. Participants may include students, early-career professionals, self-taught technologists, designers, entrepreneurs, or individuals with strong problem-identification skills.

Participants can apply individually or as part of a team, encouraging collaboration across different skill sets such as development, design, research, and business thinking. While technical experience is an advantage, it is not mandatory. The program values creativity, commitment, and the ability to think critically about real problems.

Participants are encouraged to build solutions addressing real problems in the following areas:

Education and digital learning

Health and wellbeing

Climate, environment, and sustainability

Civic technology and community development
